Assessments (assignments and exams)

Assessments include a combination of the following:

Learners will not be allowed to submit the summative assessment if they have not been found competent in all formative assessments required to be submitted as per their learning programme. Learners can choose to submit their portfolios as soon as completed irrespective of their month of enrolment, on the provision that the learner is still within his/her contract period. Resubmissions and extended opportunities will only occur at the learners request and will be charged for.

Exams are written for each module. Exams comprise a range of questions randomly drawn from a pool of questions relating to the module. Exams are conducted on an  closed book basis.

By completing an assessment you are also declaring that all the evidence, work and assignments is your own work. As per the FAIS legislation, you are required to be found competent (therefore you need to supply evidence to that effect) and HONESTY and INTEGRITY is required from you.

Should we find any indication of dishonesty or lack of integrity the results will be declared as “not yet competent” and both INSETA and the FSB will be informed of the pending enquiry. All references must be disclosed.

faisit’s assessment, moderation and recognition of prior learning policies are available to all students enrolled and could be found under resources on the introduction topic.
